The Technical Services Manager reports to the General Manager, and is tasked with keeping our equipment and centers running in ship-shape order. Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills would be a plus. You will be responsible for training, managing and motivating a team of hourly technicians, maintaining cost objectives and staying on top of all that is going in inside Main Event.

 

I believe teaching is an important aspect of the TSM role, this person should have a great deal of patience and understanding because the issues we run into on a daily basis just develops our strength for tomorrow. Nothing is routine... You can be working on plumbing, electrical, and networking all in the same day as your scheduled to work on a pinsetter or a game.

WHAT MAKES A GREAT TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER?

  • 21 years + of age
  • Ability to move lane maintenance equipment (approximately 250 lbs.), climb ladders and possess the strength required to repair, clean and maintain the facility machines and equipment
  • Knowledge of bowling is preferred and a plus
  • Ability to identify, comprehend and act on changing customer and business requirements
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational ability; ability to work under pressure amid distractions and interruptions
  • Possess good customer relations abilities, outgoing and friendly manner, courteous and cooperative attitude, team oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, regarding all areas of job responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING ON A DAILY BASIS?

  • Maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all facility equipment
  • Responding to issues on demand
  • Performing all scheduled maintenance duties
  • Demonstrating proactive leadership by ensuring positive guest experiences and providing hands on training to technicians
